Welcome to tagbot! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the tagbot Discord bot ("the Bot"). By inviting or using the Bot, you're agreeing to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the Bot.

1. What We Do

tagbot is a Discord bot designed to help server administrators manage user roles based on their primary Discord guild (identity_guild_id). This means we primarily:

• Verify a user's primary Discord guild.
• Automatically assign or remove roles if a user's primary guild matches your server's configured target ID.
• Provide administrative commands to help you configure the bot and manually sync roles.

2. How You Should Use the Bot

You agree to use the Bot only for its intended purpose and in line with these Terms, Discord's Terms of Service, and all applicable laws. Please don't:

• Use the Bot for anything unlawful or unauthorized.
• Mess with or disrupt the Bot's performance or integrity.
• Try to get unauthorized access to the Bot's systems or data.
• Use the Bot to send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass anyone.
• Use the Bot in a way that could disable, overburden, or impair its proper functioning.

3. Your Data

By using tagbot, you acknowledge and agree to our data practices, which are all laid out in our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference.

4. No Guarantees

THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES, BUT ISN'T LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T GUARANTEE THAT THE BOT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

5. Limits on Our Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE BOT DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT ISN'T LIMITED TO, ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO USE THE BOT; (B) ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT OR CONTENT ON THE BOT; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA.

6. Ending Your Access

We might terminate or suspend your access to the Bot without prior notice or liability for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

7. Changes to These Terms

We can modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a change is significant, we'll try to give you at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use our Bot after those changes, you're agreeing to the revised terms.

8. What Law Applies

These Terms are governed by and will be interpreted according to the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
